Cloud Access
Desktop Browser
Access ProcessLogbook Cloud from any internet-connected computer.
Logging In
- Navigate to:
https://logbook.yourcompany.com(or your cloud URL) - Enter username and password
- Complete two-factor authentication if enabled
- Dashboard displays recent activity
Dashboard Overview
- Recent Notes: Latest notes across all equipment
- My Activities: Your assigned tasks
- Abnormal Conditions: Currently active issues
- Quick Actions: Common tasks
Navigating Equipment
Equipment Browser:
- Click Equipment in sidebar
- Expand hierarchy: Sites → Systems → Equipment
- Click equipment name to view details
Search:
- Use search bar at top
- Type equipment name or tag
- Select from results
Favorites:
- Star frequently accessed equipment
- Access from Favorites in sidebar
Creating Notes
- Navigate to equipment
- Click Add Note button
- Enter:
- Title: Brief summary (required)
- Body: Detailed description
- Type: General, Maintenance, or Abnormal Condition
- Add attachments:
- Click Add Photo to take or upload image
- Click Add File for documents
- Click Save
Mobile Access
ProcessLogbook Cloud works on smartphones and tablets.
Mobile Browser Access
- Open your mobile browser (Chrome, Safari)
- Navigate to your Cloud URL
- Log in (credentials saved for convenience)
- Interface adapts to mobile screen
Mobile-Specific Features
Quick Note Entry
For fast field documentation:
- Tap Quick Note on dashboard
- Select equipment (or scan barcode)
- Enter note text
- Snap photo if needed
- Tap Save
Offline Mode
ProcessLogbook Cloud works offline for field operations without connectivity.
How Offline Mode Works
- Download equipment data while online
- Work offline - create notes and activities
- Auto-sync when connection returns
Preparing for Offline Use
Before going into the field:
- Open Cloud app while connected
- Navigate to the equipment you'll be working on
- App automatically caches recent notes
- For extended offline work, tap Download for Offline
Creating Notes Offline
- Create notes as normal
- Notes are saved locally on your device
- Yellow indicator shows pending sync
- Notes upload automatically when online
Viewing Offline Data
While offline, you can view:
- Equipment hierarchy (cached)
- Recent notes (previously downloaded)
- Your pending notes (created offline)
Syncing After Reconnection
When connectivity returns:
- App automatically syncs pending notes
- Green checkmark confirms sync
- New notes from others download
- Any conflicts are flagged for review
