Note Types
Best Practices for Notes
- Clear titles: Use descriptive titles that summarize the note
- Include context: Who, what, when, why
- Add photos: Visual documentation is valuable
- Be factual: Record observations, not assumptions
- Timely entry: Create notes as soon as practical
Note Examples
Good Note:
Title: Replaced seal on P-101 discharge Body: Noticed minor leak at discharge flange. Isolated pump, replaced gasket (P/N 12345), returned to service. Leak resolved. Total downtime: 2 hours.
Poor Note:
Title: Fixed pump Body: It was leaking.
Adding Attachments
- While creating or editing a note
- Click Add Attachment
- Choose:
- Camera: Take photo now
- Photo Library: Select existing image
- File: Upload document
- Add caption (optional)
- Attachments save with the note
